OHA's Rowena Akana Jumps the Shark

Rowena Akana is a "trustee at-large" for the Hawaii state government's Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA). OHA is a state agency that has a nasty habit of indulging in personal attacks against citizens who oppose OHA's agenda of racial supremacy and separatism. A few years ago OHA published a smear piece directed at the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii a small, free-market think tank.

In the latest issue, November 2007, of OHA's monthly (tax funded?) tabloid "Ka Wai Ola" Akana provides us with this chestnut:

Like other racist groups who say the Holocaust never happened, the Grassroots [sic] Institute would not be happy until Native Hawaiians no longer exist or are driven out from our 'aina. They keep hoping that if they keep repeating the same non-truths over and over again, people will start believing their nonsense.

And many of us keep hoping that someday Rowena Akana will become capable of reason.

An anonymous commenter has provided me with a link to a story about events at the other end of the Polynesian Triangle (New Zealand) on the predictable results of racial nationalism. Recently some racial seperatists and their supporters were arrested for planning terrorist attacks and weapon charges.

Less than 24 hours after rejoining the Libertarianz Party, Tim Wikiriwhi says his life was threatened by a prominent local member of the Maori party and separatist movement, while counter protesting against Indigenous rights separatists and Green extremists gathered in Garden place downtown Hamilton on Saturday in support of the ‘Urewera 17’ arrested by police on fire arms charges, and bomb making. Two arrestees are from Hamilton.

“Someone should take you out”. I then told her that her threats were what I would expect from supporters of Tame Iti, and that I had been threatened on many occasions by Maori racists and was not surprised by the arrest of these racist radicals and anti-capitalist green extremists on fire arms charges and weapons training in bush camps or that Tame Iti was in on it considering he turned up in Fiji to support George Speight in his racist coup of 2000.

Let's hope that Akana's irresponsible rhetoric doesn't encourage unlawful behavior.
Comments:
Let 'em move to Kaho'olawe...

They already did. But OHA wants unaccountable power and nothing else.

No, they didn't let 'em move to Kaho'olawe, they merely stopped using it as a gunnery range...
